Dhania Patra Chutney (ଧଣିଆ ପତ୍ର ଚଟଣି)

Dhania Patra Chutney (Odia: ଧଣିଆ ପତ୍ର ଚଟଣୀ) is a distinct sort of chutney prepared from coriander leaves. This chutney is especially popular throughout the winter months.

In my childhood, our village was not electrified, so we didn't have a refrigerator. And in those days, we're doing vegetable farming.

Coriander leaver were there at our garden and my mother use to prepare this Dhaniya Chatani almost everyday during winter months.

Now, the time has changed, the place and style of living has also changed. But, the love for the dhania patra chatney has not changed yet.

We're buying coriander leaves from the market. We can't prepare this everyday, but still we're keeping this in fridge for more than a week.

In those old days, my mother use to add coriander leaves with emili, green chili, sugar and salt as per the taste, some cumin, 5 to 6 garlic buds for this chutney. She used a flat stone slab to grind the mix, but now we're using mixer grinder.
